Cadventure Seminars

‘Showing the way in rethinking BIM’

We recently hosted a series of five Bentley-sponsored half day seminars, where Cadventure’s Professional Services Director, Stephen Holmes explored the progress of BIM in the UK from a UK BIM Alliance perspective and AECOsim Building Designer. Interest in the topics covered meant there was a great attendance at all five venues – even a snow storm didn’t stop delegates in Bristol from turning out!

Delegates were given the opportunity to explore the challenges they face to deliver successful projects despite tighter delivery schedules, smaller budgets and limited manpower. From site survey to delivery they were able to discover how Bentley System’s Building suite including ContextCapture, LumenRT and AECOsim Building Designer CONNECT Edition – a multi-discipline design application that facilitates BIM – bridges the barriers between industries, disciplines and geographically distributed teams while allowing the freedom to design and deliver projects.

During the lively and informative Q&A and networking sessions, delegates contributed to the discussion with insightful technical questions, and shared their own experiences from their daily work, which generated an excellent knowledge sharing opportunity.

One of the common themes from the delegate feedback was delight that this was not just a London-centric seminar. with meetings in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Bristol.

Cadventure’s Managing Director, Elaine Lewis said: “We were pleased to have key Bentley Systems speakers at our events, alongside our own Cadventure Professional Services team.”

“The seminars facilitated a gathering from a variety of industries – with delegates from global market leading companies to small boutique firms, and the warm reception we received at each venue was overwhelming. As Bentley’s UK suppliers of software, consultancy and training, we enjoyed the opportunity to listen to users’ needs and experiences, and gather valuable feedback to ensure that we continue to deliver our first-class service.”

Based on the great interest in the seminars, we plan to conduct similar events within this field in the future.

We would like to thank Peter Taylor from TSP Projects who gave a wonderful presentation at our Manchester event, and also our colleagues from Bentley Systems Inc, who spoke at the seminars: Andy Smith – Solutions Executive, Marc Thomas – Technical Support Expert, John Conway – European Sales Manager, and Brendan Roche – Building and Collaboration Application Engineer.
