Cadventure is proud to support local Trussell Trust foodbanks

We have arranged a ‘Reverse Advent Calendars’ in our London and Kemble offices to collect donations for our local Foodbanks.

Very simply, each day we put a selection of items into our Advent Calendar collection boxes, to be taken to our local collection centres and distributed to those in need in the run up to the holiday season.

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust supports more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis.

Between April 2018 and March 2019, The Trussell Trust food banks network alone provided  1.6 million food supplies to people in crisis, a 19% increase on the previous year.

Foodbanks also offer a lot more than food. Volunteers provide a listening ear to clients over a warm drink, and signpost people to other charities and agencies who can help resolve the underlying cause of the crisis.
