MasterPlan plugin software for MicroStation / PowerDraft

This application allows 3D MicroStation models to be produced quickly with automatic generation of related information and presentation drawings. It is intended for the early design/master planning stage of a project.

The software has been specifically designed so that only a limited knowledge of MicroStation is required.

 

The starting point is a 2D layout showing the site and proposed building footprints. If the site is not flat an elevation can be assigned to each footprint.

There are a series of simple tools to extrude the footprints and tag floors with usage. A footprint can be edited and the change applied to the whole building or a given number of storeys. Total floor areas and development ratios can be checked at any stage.

The principal features of the software are:

 

  • Simple 3D modelling tools to extrude and edit the building footprints

  • Automatic generation of a ground model around the buildings

  • User-defined usage types and colour coding

  • Information tools to report total floor areas by building and by plot

  • Output of information to Excel spreadsheet

  • Automatic generation of site plans, colour shaded by height or usage

  • Output of model in STL format for rapid prototyping. The output is optimised for the Zcorp 3D printer
